The Inside Gwinnett is passionate about helping the Gwinnett Animal Shelter find homes for pets that have strayed, gotten lost, or been turned over for adoption. A pet that needs a home will be featured on Inside Gwinnett's weekly emails. This week we are featuring the cutest male lab that just came up for adoption yesterday. His Pet ID# is18802 and pen #101. You will need this information about him when you call the shelter so they will know which dog you are looking for.

The shelter has to keep an animal for five days before it is capable of being adopted, but they post the information on the pet on their website immediately.
To see pictures of some of the many dogs and cats who need a good home right now, click in the left navigation bar on their website where there is a separate section for dogs, cats, and other animals http://www.gwinnettcounty.com/portal/gwinnett/Departments/Police/AnimalWelfareandEnforcementNew. The adoption fee is $30 plus an additional fee of $60 (cash only) to cover vet fees. If you see a pet that you like but it is not eligible for adoption yet, you should put a hold on it as their policy is " first come first serve."
